Promotions.com and The Marketing Store Receive Prestigious Webby People's Voice Award
500,000 votes cast in the Webby's largest and most competitive year.
Promotions.com, a leading provider of consumer activation technologies, and The Marketing Store are pleased to announce they have been awarded the Webby People's Voice Award in the "Email Marketing" Category for their work on the McDonald's Monopoly online promotion game.
Nearly 500,000 votes were cast in this highly competitive category. "This award is a tremendous honor for the recipients indicating the highest level of loyalty and commitment from the online community." said David-Michel Davies, Executive Director of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, who host the awards. "In our biggest year yet, with nearly 10,000 entries from all 50 US states and over 60 countries, this work truly represents the best of the web."
The McDonald's Monopoly game is the largest online promotion in the world with each year exceeding the previous year's numbers. In 2007, the promotion resulted in 63 million game plays and 2 billion unique codes. In 2008 Promotions.com will be working with The Marketing Store for the fifth consecutive year to execute the promotion.
