This winter, select Kraft brands in Canada - Ritz, Oreo and Kraft Dinners - are giving consumers the chance to win an awesome hockey gear package, and make a positive difference for the Hockey Canada Foundation.
From February 14th through April 14th, participants will find codes in specially-marked packages and enter them at www.kraftassists.ca or www.kraftaide.ca for their chance to win instantly. There are three daily hockey gear prizes to be won throughout the duration of the program.
In addition to entry into the promotion, $.10 will be donated to the Hockey Canada Foundation for each valid code entered at the website.

Diet Dr. Pepper Launches 'The Hunt for the Unbelievable' Sweepstakes

Yahoo! and Diet Dr. Pepper have collaborated on an immersive virtual scavenger hunt. Launched January 18, "The Hunt for the Unbelievable" sweepstakes invites Yahoo! visitors to join in the search across the Yahoo! Network for six unbelievable creatures - Leprechaun, Sasquatch, Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, and Alien. The virtual scavenger hunt is an extension of the soft drink brand's popular "We Exist" TV advertising campaign, and will enable players to interact with these characters through rich media content and ad formats.
"The Hunt For The Unbelievable" will task players with locating each character across select Yahoo! web properties for the chance to win a getaway worth $10,000 that the winner gets to create.
This highly interactive promotion runs from January 18, 2011 through March 31, 2011. Promotions.com worked with Yahoo! to develop the sweepstakes, and integrated with PointRoll on the interactive ads.

Hasbro Launches the Littlest Pet Shop 'Pet Sitters Club'

Promotions.com is pleased to announce the launch of the Littlest Pet Shop 'Pet Sitters Club'. This child-targeted microsite was developed with Hasbro and AMP Agency as a destination site for lovers of Hasbro's Littlest Pet Shop line of toys. The microsite is available in 13 markets and 10 languages, and offers news, a pet of the month (including exclusive webisodes), special downloadable activities, a video library, a customized page for the user to design, and information about Littlest Pet Shop promotions. There's also a special page for parents to get information about the brand and products.
Promotions.com was involved in all aspects of site functionality and creative development, handled the program administration (rules, terms, etc.) and built a custom CMS to manage content across all participating markets.

Wonder Bread wants to hear about your Wonder Hero. From January 3, 2011 through February 13, 2011, consumers are encouraged to visit www.facebook.com/wonderbread and enter a photo and essay about their Wonder Hero in one of three categories - Wonder Mom, Wonder Dad and Wonder Patriot. Winners will receive a 3-day/2-night trip for 2 to New York City, a $1,000 gift card, 1 year of Wonder Bread, a professional photo shoot, and a 'hero' experience. 1 Wonder Mom, 1 Wonder Dad and 2 Wonder Patriots will be awarded.
Essays and photos are available for viewing on the website's gallery for the general public to view and enjoy.
Promotions.com was responsible for the development of the Facebook application and a custom judging tool for determining the winners.
Promotions.com kicks off 2011 with a new promotion from Ritz Crackers and Guy Fieri!

Ritz Crackers is teaming up with Guy Fieri to find the next great Ritz Cracker recipe. This facebook promotion encourages consumers to submit their fun, original and delicious Ritz recipe for a chance to win prizes, including $20,000 and a trip for 2 to meet Guy Fieri! Everyone who enters will also receive a $1.00 coupon for Ritz Crackers.
All qualified entries will be posted for public viewing, sharing and voting to determine the top 3 submissions, and Guy Fieri will be choosing the Grand Prize winner. While at the promotional site, consumers can also check out Guy's Game Day Recipes for inspiration.
Promotions.com worked with Ritz to develop the facebook promotion, including administration, web development and data collection. The promotion is available at www.facebook.com/ritzcrackers. Entries are accepted through February 28, 2011, and the public voting runs from March 28 through April 7, 2011.
Facebook Updates Its Promotion Policy

Facebook has announced - via an email to its preferred developers - that it is making an update to its promotions policy. Moving forward, there will no longer be a requirement to obtain approval from Facebook to run a promotion within the Facebook website. Companies will still need to comply with Facebook's promotions guidelines, and will still need to use a third party application to run their promotions.
So what does this mean? Companies can now administer their entire promotion within Facebook, without need for Facebook approval and without the media buy requirements that were previously enforced. This eliminates the need to link away from Facebook for entry if companies are unable or unwilling to purchase the previously required media buy.
It's important to note that all promotions will still need to be compliant with Facebook's promotion guidelines, and therefore must still be administered through an application on the platform. Promotions can only be entered by going through a location on the main page of an application in Facebook or on a tab on a Facebook Fan Page. Additionally, the following types of promotions are still not allowed:
- Photo contests which require profile photo manipulation
- Status update contests which require posting status updates for entry
- Contest entries once a user has become a fan

Anyone who has ever wished that the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile would visit their town can now enter for a chance to make it a reality. Oscar Mayer wants consumers to nominate their town for one of the Wienermobile's 75 destinations in 2011 by visiting www.facebook.com/oscarmayer and telling what makes their city 'Wienermobile Worthy'.
Oscar Mayer will be reviewing the nominations to determine the top 100, which will then be posted for public voting. The 75 entries with the most votes will be awarded a Wienermobile visit in 2011. Nominations are being accepted until November 14th, and public voting for the winners will be open from December 6th through December 12th.
Promotions.com developed the facebook application to collect nominations and manage the public voting for the program.
