Focused on Security
Given the mission-critical data hosted by Promotions.com on behalf of our clients, security is of the utmost importance. Security measures include:

• Physical accessibility - Biometric hand-scanner access required at ALL critical areas. Video surveillance in all areas of the facilities. Many other restrictions (including 24-hour visit notice, concurrent visitor limits, etc.)
• Logical accessibility - Firewall restricts access to port 80 only. No HTTP accessibility PTP encrypted access only
• Intrusion detection - Customized third-party java-based port scanners and analytic software to perform real-time traffic analysis and packet logging, protocol analysis, content searching / matching, attack and probe monitoring and logging
• Additionally, we maintain a proprietary and integrated monitoring system for promotions that scans incoming traffic, web site and database activity to automatically detect suspicious behavior
• Software monitoring and patch / upgrade management - We monitor all relevant core information sources (organizations and vendors) for alerts and patch information. This includes OS-level and application level enhancements and patches. Promotions.com systems administrators install and test upgrades / patches / service packs on development environment before rolling out to all production servers.

Monitoring and Support
Our goal is to know before anyone else does. To that end, all hardware and software and database performance is monitored from three separate locations every 5 minutes; alerts are sent to on-call staff (24x7x365) who diagnose and resolve issues as they arise. Clients are provided with both phone and email-based emergency support contact information for during and after-hours needs.
